Using power tool batteries with regenerative motor drivers

The use of power tool batteries is generally not recommended for use with Sabertooth and Syren. These batteries are typically too small (too little sinking capacity), and also contain internal circuitry for battery management that is designed for power tool brushless motors. This circuitry inhibits or restricts the flow of regenerative current, which can damage the Sabertooth and Syren, or cause operational issues.
