Wheelchair Brake Wiring

Wheelchair brakes are directly compatible with Sabertooth 2x32 when wired properly (see 2x32 datasheet for details and software setup).

Using brakes with all other Sabertooth and Syren motor drivers requires additional circuitry to avoid damaging the motor driver. The diagram shows wiring and diodes for one motor.

The use of electromagnetic brakes is not recommended with 2x5, 2x5RC, 2x12, 2x12RC, Syren 10 and Syren 25.
