Reset bricked 2x32 after firmware update

Solution

If a communication or power fault occurs during a 2x32 firmware update, the unit may become bricked and display a solid red Error LED. Perform the following if this happens:

If you're not using DEScribe version 3.9.9, go here to upgrade: https://www.dimensionengineering.com/info/describe

Connect Sabertooth via USB and open DEScribe.

In the software, go to Tools > Update firmware > click Sabertooth 2x32 folder and choose firmware 2015-12-17.

Click Upload button, then OK. Watch for it to complete, and show "Update applied."

After the update, both LEDs should flash in unison, and the unit should then work correctly.

If this fix does not resolve the issue, contact Support.
